Kobe Bryant has an entourage

We sat and looked at this picture for a long while before scrounging up the courage to find out where it came from.
Apparently those are two guys who work on some kind of exclusive special edition clothes for Kobe’s Nike line.
We prefer to think of them as “Asian Rico and Johnny Knuckles”, and that they’ll be going anywhere Kobe goes this year, always standing exactly like that.
Anyway, looks like another member of the crew is rapper Lil’ Wayne, who will be the first guy of note other than Kobe to wear the spanking new “Lakers #24″ jersey.
The unveiling of this will be this week as Wayne hits Los Angeles for a brief stop. He is currently on the road with the Up Close and Personal Tour.
“When Kobe heard about the concert, he reached out to me ’cause he’s a fan of my music and I’m a fan of his skills on the court,” Wayne said to MTV. “He said he wanted me to be the first to represent his new jersey, number 24, and I was with it!”
We’re with that, too - pretty much.
Not sure why we’re not with it all the way. Could be the piercing glare of Johnny Knuckles’ piercing glare. Or it could be the piercing glare of Asian Rico’s glare, which pierces, as well.
Not glaringly piercing is Mamba, who’s looking off camera, and the Orange Roundie, because it’s a basketball and doesn’t have eyes.
Btw, Asian Rico has a movie coming out (in Hong Kong) about high school basketball adapted from the popular manga of the 90s: “Slam Dunk”–I’m sure that incredible info created a yawn here or there..
