There are three teams in the NBA without wins yet, and they’re all gonna go for it tonight.
Each of them need a win in a bad way for their own reasons. In order, it’s for a kick-start, for stability, and for a small sense of hope.
So…who do ya like – the struggling Mavs at the Clippers, the rapidly degenerating Nuggets hosting the Knicks, or the bad Celtics at home against the Bobcats?
There’s no way all three win, so we’re going with the Nuggets, as they’re playing what arguably the only team that’s seemingly more mentally screwy than they are, Isiah’s Knicks.
That said, the Nugs have issues, as head coach George Karl is starting to get the crazies, which as we all know, can set in hardcore (and thus permanently) with him.
Especially if star forward Carmelo Anthony is starting to resist the lure of the Karl.
“You can be a hell of a (expletive) team or floundering in mediocrity of the NBA,” he said as the Nuggets gathered at midcourt Monday. “Let’s play the right way.”
“Of course, he (Karl) want perfection, but at the same time, you’ve still got to have fun out there on the basketball court,” Anthony said. “If you ain’t having fun, then you might as well not even play no more.”
That’s how we are, which is why this is our last post ever.
…
…
…
That’d be too cool. Wish we had the courage.
Look, all signs say Carmelo Anthony and George Karl are going to have a meltdown soon, and that’s when players start taking sides. Most will go with Melo, except Kenyon Martin, who will form a third side composed entrely of himself.
More wins, less wins, or somewhere in between – it’s gonna happen, and it starts tonight.
