There were rumblings all summer about Kobe trying to establish an online presence, and that all seems to have come to fruition with the All-New KB24 DOT COM.

Our brief review is as follows - we like it.

Seriously - most of the player websites have messy set-ups, persistant hip-hop beats that are impossible to turn off, and long-ass, semi-useless intro sequences that take forever to load.

Kobe’s got a simple layout that easy to navigate, and leaves little notes peppered with Italian. He actually announced he wasn’t playing last night on the site, surely a traffic-garnerer if ever there was one.

A note from Kobe
I’m excited about this season.

I can’t wait to play.

The energy of opening night is always special.

We are beginning our journey. We will face many obstacles and challenges, but we will face them TOGETHER AS ONE.

The excitement of tonight was beginning to cloud my judgment of playing, I want to play, BUT I am not there yet. I am rounding 3rd base and will be home SOON.

Big thanks to all you, I love all the support. It helps fuel my drive.

WE WILL STAY IN TOUCH, THIS IS MY HOME.

AND MI CASA ES SU CASA.

Enjoy the site.

- Mamba

Remains to be seen whether or not he keeps his log up-to-date, but we’re hopeful.

We think it was Al Harrington’s site that had like a brief message from like 18 months ago when we went there once. (Who goes searching out Al Harrington’s website anyway? Wouldn’t it be funny if someone told you their favorite player was Al Harrington? Wouldn’t you just be like, “Huh…?”

There’s some nice vids on there, including what we believe is behind-the-scenes at that Stephon Marbury talk show, as well as Kobe signing the last (so they claim) #8 jersey he’ll ever sign.

Oh, Kobe also, as you can see, signs his journal entires as “Mamba”, which is entirely awesome on several levelas. (That’s pseudo-Italian for “levels”. OLE!)

Yes, it was awesome. I think he feathered it.

I think it is latin, rather than italian.
