We’ve privately been lamenting, despite their excellent record, that the Cavaliers haven’t really been getting many “easy” wins.
You want to roll over the teams you’re supposed to beat to some extent, or at least win with some definitive style or statement of purpose.
The Portland win earlier Wednesday and Friday night’s takedown of the Timberwolves have eased the inner monologues a bit.
Minnesota kept it close for most of the game evening the last, but come fourth quarter, LeBron and the Cavaliers executed Kevin Garnett’s people with swift and concise gameplay type thingies.
“It shows the caliber of team we are,” James said. “We feel we’re one of the best teams in the league. We’re proving that right now.”
Just as we’ve said about the Pistons and Bulls so far…we were right on the Cavaliers. LeBron is driven regarding this regular season in ways someone like Shaq or even Dwyane Wade feels no need to be.
Even with Larry Hughes out, Cleveland was moving the ball, rotating, and playing some nice defense. This caused the excited crowd to cheer and make all kinds of “hand-wavey” motions.
Not only did all of that happen, but LBJ accidentally cracked Mark Blount on the head and made him bleed.
We’re not cheering that one way or the other – we’re just amazed that we keep unintentionally bringing up players from our list of “guys who would retire instead of rehab from microfracture surgery”.
(Mark Blount is who we’re referring to here, not LeBron.)
NOTE: Speaking of microfracture recovery…Kenyon Martin, Denver’s surly power forward who rehabbed from said surgery, is out for the year due to needing it on the other knee. Our assumption is he’ll keep coming back until he’s had microfractures on every joint in his body.
NOTE 2: We continue to be haunted by the Charlotte and Atlanta losses – CLE should be 9-0.

The Cavs could be 9-0, but then, what would we have to complain about?
You neglected to mention the fact that KG was acting like a little girl all game.
The Cavs could be 9-0 but remember the Pistons last year started off 8-0 and they didn’t win anything important…
Big win by Detroit last night against the Wiz…the season is turning around already
Anything that anyone in the NBA does is irrelevant because the Pistons won a title two years ago.
I must say, the Cyclops Photo is one of the best, if not the best so far.
