WHO SHOT MAMBA IPHONE

The Bulls and Lakers are winners

by The Cavalier on November 1, 2006 · 18 comments

Doesn’t it just figure that more or less the moment the season starts, the site goes down?

The video we had planned is now useless, and surely enthusiastic fans looking for a little NBA blog action were left wanting – thanks to the good folks at Living Dot for not being there.

Anyway, both tip-off games last night were shocking in their own way –

1) The Bulls are scary. Scary like a bunch of little animals who claw and scratch and won’t go away. Thats how they play defense – they remind us of Big Ben’s PIstons in their prime. Theyre actually fun to watch, even though they’re about to become our sworn enemy. Miami gets their rings and subsequently goes down by 40. (Pat Riley – embarrassed!)

2) Lakers mount the big comeback win over the Sun without Kobe. Andrew Bynum got some of his man-strength. Laker Nation is on the verge of over-estimation of win total. (TJ Simers – confused!)

More shocking than either of those? This tip-off picture on ESPN.com…

…accompanied by an article by the blogosphere’s own Henry Abbot of TrueHoop. It was all about the new ball, and linked to/mentioned the bloggers who had done things with it.

It was quite the well-written piece, and even moreso, completely covered everything. Nothing was missing. Pretty much if any blog has had any sort of significant experience, opinion, or original take on the ball, it was brought up.

It’s possible there was one glaring omission, and strngely, the Roundie is rolling around this morning, mumbling about “a new agenda” that “involves becoming more powerful than you can possibly imagine”. Poor Roundie – as if he wasn’t angst-ridden enough, right?

(NOTE: This is how fired up we are for the season. We got all teared up (one actually dropped) as the Heat got their rings and the montage played last night. We may simply die in the build-up to tonight’s Cavs-Wiz game. The entire city of Cleveland is leaving its lights on downtown, among other such showmanship. (Apologies for plural possessive related grammar mistakes in that last sentence.))

(Apologies if you’re the site that turned me onto it. I’ve been in a Cavalier-reading frenzy for like 6 days.)

Yeah, I had that on here at some point, but not anytime recently.

I’ll have something up a bit later to get us all Cavalier-primed.

You got jobbed there bro. Maybe he didn’t realize orange roundie = new ball? Maybe you should be more clear in your writing.

But then nobody will be confused! That’s half the key to my success!

Yo that was complete B.S. First of all the photoshop job with the glowing basketball was something you did in last years playoffs. Second of all how could the not mention you as one of the bloggers who has a take on roundie?

I am so juiced that TNT is using “Remember the Name” again. I listened to it 50 times yesterday.

I am so juiced to hear from Becky again. Maybe now I can quit checking her myspace page!

Y’know I’ve met the BDP, and based on that, I’m not sure if Becky should be creeped out by that statement or not.

My sister is only 17. Don’t even think about it.

I bet you wish you were still in town so you could go to the showmanship that is the fan “fun” fest. I might check it out after work.

See what happens when people start spreading rumors? I get mistaken for a pedophile. Erroneous! Erroneous on all counts!

12 JONESONTHENBA November 2, 2006 at 3:22 am

The BDP is no pedophile…just a deadly street baller…Watch out, now!
