Chris Webber’s 84 EXPLOSIONS

The Orlando Magic Moustache Blog says the team is missing a go-to guy.
Gilbert blogs about his game-winner against Utah the other night. Is he just “Gilbert” now? Has this occured?
(He also calls his next 50-point game: Feb 11th @ POR. Six days before the All-Star Game. Call him whatever you want, just don’t ever say he’s not savvy to how the world works.)
Jeff is having a frustration day over at Celticsblog DOT COM.
DetroitBadBoys calls for a possible conspiracy in the Pistons transcription of Webber’s press conference.
But really, Chris…number 84? You’re wearing 84? Don’t listen to your nieces and nephews - only your kids should get such decisions.
NBA Refs Association (or whatever it’s called) compares the ref getting accused of making an obscene gesture to a fan to…getting accused of a gang rape. Nice one!
This Joumana Kidd lady is about to start getting nutty, and that’s either good or bad, depending on how you feel about gossip and slander.
UtahJazzBlog starts a 2-part series on why the Jazz are now average, and begins by pointing at Jerry Sloan.
Finally, Brian Windhorst weighs in blog-style on the CLE-SEA game, and you can tell he didn’t watch it at 1 in the morning like we did.
Just another Cavs note - that’s great that we want to be like, defensive masters and stuff, but why can’t we be offensive masters, too? Why is it one or the other? It’s not like we’re without offensive talent, y’know?

Offensive talent? Yes
Offensive plan? No
Not that it really matters, but the February 11th Wizards-Trailblazers game is in DC, not in Portland.
Well, it might matter a little bit. I think Gilbert still has at least a slight edge in scoring at home rather than on the road.

So what happens if I am overly-confident, bordering on cocky, about what those terms mean?
Offensive Talent:
Drew Gooden - Check.
Zydrunas Ilgaukus - if they don’t call an offensive foul when he hooks you as he drives for a layup? Check
Eric Snow - No.
Larry Hughes - 33% of the time he’s got offensive talent all of the time.
LeBron James - Yes, even though he travels a lot, and hooks too.
Larry Hughes scored 7 points in-a-row after he took off his headband against Portland.
wait watching Lebron is NOT an offensive strategy? Damn i am so getting my money back from the Mike Brown coaching clinic. Although this does explain why my YMCA team keeps getting shut out as we huddle around highlight video.
