Boney, the four teams in the Western and Eastern conference finals last year were in the top 5 in the league in regular season records. I agree that it's somewhat difficult to forecast the playoffs at this point in the regular season but the West seems particularly dominant this year, even more so than in past seasons. If I turn out to be incorrect, fine, certainly won't be the first time but I think this is shaping up to be another season in which whoever comes out of the East will earn the fun distinction of second-best.

Regular season means nothing in the playoffs. If you get a playoff spot, yur in, thats it. Its just up to the team to play HARD and CONSISTENTLY to win. PHX suns are awesome regular season team, can't get over the edge. Last season, if Detroit played as awesome as they usually were, Cav's wouldn't be partying about getting so far. Just hope Lebron won't pull a Shaq ouchie to miss as many regular season games as possible and then turn it on in the playoffs.

Fios, look at the hottest teams in the league at this point last year... what did they win? regular season basketball games.

Look at the team that struggled through the season. What did they get? Rings.

Can anyone in the East really talk trash at this point? It's a contest to find out who is going to lose to the Suns or Mavericks in the Finals. Whoopee!

Just piling on a bit, that's all The Cavalier. I agree, it's frustrating to see a team built around 1 superstar stand around on the offensive end and watch said superstar try to win it himself...

That's why I watch the Pistons...

Boney isn't it kinda pointless to rip the Cavs as if it will hurt me when I just said I won't even watch them anymore? We agree about them...you see?

I don't know. I know what you mean about LeBron, but he's at least back to attacking the basket and going to the line 8 or 9 times a game (where his foul shot is disintegrating by day- he needs to rent The Shooter's Touch starring Mark Price, where he can learn about BEEF - Balance, Eyes, Elbow, Follow-through and then Jesus after the shooting tips. The best is when Price asks a bunch of kids who wants to be a good free throw shooter and they all raise their hands. And then he asks, "Who wants to shoot 500 free throws a day?" And all the hands go down and you can see the shame on their little faces.)

The offense blows and all, but the thing I REALLY don't understand is the PT. Bench their asses. That is the only hand you have over a guy. Sit him down. And please, play with Boobie for like 20/game. Eric Snow is not that good at defense. To outweigh his god-awful O, he'd have to jedi-mind trick the man he was defending into scoring like 15 - for the Cavs.

And where is Ira Newble? We need a "defensive stopper"!

yeah, and Randy Wittman has landed on his feet elsewhere...

what was that earlier in the season Cav? Detroit beat a 76ers team without AI? The Cavs can't even do that...

If Coach Mike gets canned who are the candidates for replacing him? I'm assuming Keith Smart is no longer an assistant in the land of Cleve?
