Gilbert Arenas is having a party

You need a certain level of fame and exclusivityness in your life in order to have a website for your birthday party.

Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas is one of those people with such levels, as noted by ArenasExpress DOT COM.

We came across this gem on the ever-Washingtony DC Sports Bog, who noted that the fresh new blog Gilbertology was actually on this a week back.

On the BOG, the Gilbert goes into his reasoning for establishing such a significant presence for his upcoming “Happy 25th” bash.

“P. Diddy’s hosting, so you know it’s nice,” he said.

Who else will be there, I wondered.

“Performing? The Game, T.I., Busta Rhymes, Lil’ Wayne,” he said, although what he really said was “Little Wayne,” which struck me as odd. Now we’re all gonna start droppin’ the apostrophes, jus’ when I was gettin’ into ‘em?

Anyhow, “Go on ArenasExpress.com,” Gil instructed us. “The club did it for me, it just shows what’s going on: Black Tie affair, red carpets, special invite only. So many people have been [asking for invites], anywhere from Nelly to Brian McKnight to Donovan McNabb. I mean, just everyone. I’m like, ‘Wow!’ I didn’t even know I was like that.”

Hmmm…at what point do you realize you’re “like that”?

Is it the Nelly Threshold, or can it happen as early as the Lil’ Wayne Sandline? We have no idea, although we’ll continue to note that the Scoop Jackson Radius was entirely insignificant.

In other Gilbert news, he’s got a bum shoulder, and might be out for awhile. Nobody really seems to know for sure yet, but he could only get one jumper up in practice yesterday.
