WHO SHOT MAMBA IPHONE

Jackie Butler is not valuable

So we never really updated you on our progress as a first-time fantasy basketball player in the NBA blogger league that Hoops Addict started over at NBA DOT COM. (Our team is named the League of Roundie Henchmen.)

That’s mainly because our strategy was to never touch our line-up once, outside of the first week when we tried and were immediately too confused.

As such, we currently sit dead last in the standings, about 1100 points behind the next team, and roughly 6000 points out of first. We have no idea where on the “poor showing” scale this is – for all we know, a good week could put us in first.

Anyway, a couple days ago Brian over at Rising Suns offered us Boris Diaw for Amare Stoudemire, who’d been sitting on our bench. Sure, why not?

Everything was cool when…trade disapproved by League Commish. Foul call, says we!

Based on these events, we have a new strategy – to make our team really interesting by heisting other people’s players in tricky trade scenarios that slip past the veangeful Commish.

Giorgio’s Bargnani Boyz has declined the following deal from League of
Roundie Henchmen

League of Roundie Henchmen sends – Jackie Butler to Giorgio’s Bargnani
Boyz

Giorgio’s Bargnani Boyz sends – LeBron James to League of Roundie Henchmen

That was one of our first tries.

Other sweet trades we came up with (and are pending) include our Mike James for someone else’s injured Mo Williams, as well as our Kyle Korver for someone else’s inactive Steve Francis.

By acquiring two additional players that don’t play, our chances of winning the league increase a thousandfold. Such is our understanding of this delicate game of fantasy sports.

(Our Baron Davis for Steve Blake swap was already rejected, and also dubbed “garbage”.)

I don’t know why, but I’ll click on your bazooka link even though I already know there’s a bazooka there just the same as yesterday.

Kobe for Amare? That’s not that bad of a deal, is it? Or is it?

Who has Darius Miles btw? I want him.
