Well, we finally got around to seeing this thing, and luckily we were able to find two NBA players who felt exactly the same as we did about it.

If you’d told us before going in that our sister would rate Rocky Balboa an ’8′ and we’d give it a ’4′, we’d have dubbed you ‘crazy’, but that’s exactly what happened. We have so much more to say, and we’ve now read Bill Simmons’s piece, which we largely agree with, outside of finding any unintentional humor in this situation.
Take it to the comments (which we’re still trying to make easier to use), please. We want to debate, because we’re pretty fired up on this one.

Antonio Tarver is fat!
I had my dad on my left tearing up and I had my mom on my right going “This is so stupid” and “What the fuck is wrong w/ his eyebrows?” I was right in the middle, both literally AND figuratively. how’s THAT kind of awesomeness for my first day in the office in over a month?
I’ve heard Tarver referred to as “doughy”. I thought that pretty accurate. Does he always look like that in real life?
No way Rocky was 211lbs or whatever they said at the weigh in. Guy had to have been pushing 250. And Tarver’s not really a heavyweight I believe so he had to put on some weight, which I guess he didn’t do really well.
I dunno, I really liked paulie for the first time in all the rocky’s – “Ice is stoopid! People on ice are Stoopid!”
I liked the fight scene! I just didn’ t like how it ended. Too anti-climactic. The HBO esque stuff wasn’t bad.
The training scene was ok, but it didn’t quite make me feel like doing pushups while running up stairs and randomly punching people like in Rocky 4.
Oh and Tarver doesn’t really break his hand, he just kinda twists it. It’s like getting a mild ankle twist while playing ball, you’re awkward on it for a second, but then you forget about it.
The most important thing is, Rambo 4 is on it’s way.
By the way, saw the hawks play the cavs and I agree, the cavs are not to fun to watch right now. Lebron… Player coach?
