With the World Champion Miami Heat sitting at 13-17, and stars Dwyane Wade and Shaq sitting out with injuries, there had to be some sort of “relievy” feeling in MIA when Ira Winderman reported that Shaq is getting close to returning.
He’ll be tagging along on the Heat’s impending West Coast trip, and all signs (Pat Riley) say he may be back in uniform before it’s over.
Not only that, but he’s allegedly in shape, as well, clocking in at about 330 pounds.
“It’s really not where I wanted to be,” he said, having won the title at 325 pounds last season after previously winning three titles with the Lakers at upwards of 350.
“When I was a little heavier, a little more muscular, people had a certain way of playing me, and that’s already imbedded in their mind. Hopefully, I can take that punishment at a lighter weight.”
A lot of people will tell you that “bigger” doesn’t necessarily equate to “more muscular”. One of those people is not Shaq.
Either way, having the big man back in the center should be at the very least inspiring for the rest of the team, and any sort of anything they can get would be useful.

Then you realize you’ve never actually used the “watercolor” setting before, and you start to think you have multiple personalities.
Then you remember that’s exactly what that chick on (the hit NBC show) “Heroes” has, and you look in the mirror for 37 straight minutes, hoping and praying the evil version of you will start the conversation.
At minute 38…he speaks. It’s only a few words…but the moment changes you forever…because you realize your evil, super-powered alternate personality’s super-power isn’t super-strength at all.
No, he has blue-green laser beams that come out of his fingertips. And that’s f&$#ing awesome.
