Shaq is in CHI

Y’know, since that Cavaliers recap went so well, and we’re kinda tired of running tired/generic quotes from players, we’re thinking this “reader-submitted recap” thing may have some legs.

We’d like to try picking one game every night (or most nights), coming up with 5 questions about it, and then using reader-submitted answers to those questons as a starting point for a post.

This would all go down much like that last one did.

So, as an experiment, let’s go with tonight’s big game between Chicago and Miami. Shaq is back, and it’s on NBATV, so there are plenty of potential watchers.

Here are your questions:

1) How large is Shaq? Please describe him in one sentence, and somehow reference “flapjack buffets”.

2) If the Bulls had Pau Gasol, would the outcome of this game have been different? How so?

3) After watching this game, what’s the first thing that comes into your mind if you hear the words “Ben Gordon”?

4) Does anybody have the right to be complaining about Dwyane Wade and the foul line this morning?

5) Jason Kapono – rate his “overall tan” on a scale of 1-10, and then his “reality of tan” on a scale of 3-6.

BONUS: Based on this game, how close is Coach Pat to returning to the Miami bench?

There you go – no need to pre-sell yourself as a volunteer – we’ll probably just go with the first entry we get. If you have your own blog or site or ebay auction or whatever, we’ll of course link back for you.

That said, the joy of having us comment on your commentary really should be plenty satisfiying, yes? Often in life, people we don’t even know approach us and say something like, “Hey, you look like someone who could take something I say and use at as a springboard to make up some kind of funny commentary.”

We’ll look at them and be like, “Why yes, that’s something I can do quite easily. Shall we give it a try?”

A firm handshake and a couple quips later…we’ve made another new friend. That’s the world, people. That’s how it works. Everyone can be rich!
