(The Cavalier is on an extended leave of absence. He did not write the following, although he has taken control of my body a la Patrick Swayze did Whoopi Goldberg).

Now that the formalities are out of the way, it’s time to chat about the Association.

Kobe dropped a mere 43 in the Lakers’ 115-113 victory over the Warriors last night, as he fell short in his quest to overtake Wilt Chamberlain for the most lovers games in a row with at least 50 points. That, coupled with the Rockets’ loss to the Hornets, kept the small but possible but still really, really small even though it’s still possibly possible chance that the Lakers could catch the Rockets for the 5th playoff spot in the West, giving them the much more desirable first round opponent of the Jazz, as opposed to the Spurs.

However, the bad news didn’t stop there for Yao Ming. After a dreadful 7-22 shooting performance that would’ve made even the likes of Stephen Hawking mutter to himself that he could do better, the news was broken to him that his jersey is NOT the number one jersey sold in his native country of Chinaland. The most popular jersey there is…KOBE BRYANT! Apparently rape trials and flagrant elbows play out much better in the Asian market than previously believed.

When asked about it, Yao replied:

ﺵﺉﭪﻦﮢ ﺣﺎﱟﺱ ﯛﭽﮪﺭ

which is Arabic for something that he said in Chinese which roughly translates into something that means “Olé!” in English. In a related story, Tony Parker’s jersey was not number one in La Francia. He was number two behind Dick Vitale. Most French people commented that they thought Vitale just “looked better in a beret” than Parker and thus, bought his jersey because of that fact.

And thus was the blog suicide complete.

    Hey he tried…
This would work if we all put guns to each others heads and ended the YAY Society all at once.

In TTH’s defense he did say that Cav got all Swayze on him…..which leads to disturbing Dirty Dancing type montages. I’m gonna go before my mind shifts to To Wong Foo

In his defense, he did photoshop a shirt and tie onto Yao while putting him into a McDonald’s birthday party. This guy’s photshop work is excellent.

now I see why YaysportsNCAA isn’t around anymore…

    Boney,
That ‘Sheed shot was unbelievable. One for the ages.
Not to many DEtroit BASKETball fans there to enjoy it though (see highlights). Hope they enjoyed hearing the OT in their cars.

Do you like Yao Ming? Do you think tall people are more attractive. Maybe www.tallfriends.com is a good place to meet tall person and discuss.

If you noticed though in OT (if you watched the game), the lower half of the arena filled back up…

    BONey,
Oh, there must have been 7,500 people in line for the bathroom then. Glad they made it back to “their” seats. Palace history has proven that security should just let anyone get as close as they can to the floor.

  14. 14 Boney

Now now… let’s not forget that the fans that are close to the floor were also coaxed into brawling because players went into the stands…

oh that’s right, it’s easy to forget that the players threw the first punches
