With the 2007 season all but finished, it’s time to start looking at 2007-2008, and that means determining who’s on the covers of the video games.
By all accounts, meaning this one report here, NBA Live 08 will feature none other than Gilbert Arenas, who beat out LeBron James for the coveted spot.
Two things to go over regarding this.
One, he continues to get an amazing amount of publicity and deals without one. We commend this. One and a half, the BOG linked to this video of Gilbert finding out about this cover – very nice, indeed.
Two, that whole first sentence about the season being all but finished is ridiculous. The Playoffs just started! We hope you didn’t fall for it – it’s just that we’re trying to make it seem like we’re returning with like this slew of posts, and so a little blurbish one like this really helps raise the count.
We were actually going to say “up” the count, but we’ve never been one to use “up’ like that. It’s like when people say they’re going to “times” some numbers together. No, you’re not. You’re going to multiply them.
(Holy crap – 2008???)

Those NBA Live games are pretty terrible. Arenas might need to hire a small army of publicists as soon as 08 comes out. Or is he up to Shaq Fu levels by now?

I like to believe I’m unique is why.
How’d ya’ get Dale Jr. over his left (his left, not ours) shoulder like that?
Slow down big fella, this one was a mess.
It’s good to know where the Grammatical line in the sand is drawn. I’ma is all good……Up and times misuse clearly invite smiting. I’ma go with you on this one Cav. Welcome Home
