the cavs have a very very dysfunctional team. eric snow should never be playin any form of basketball except a passer to iverson, and everybody except james and donyell on the cavs really really suck. this better not turn into a kevin garnett situation

Anyone interested in a 5’9ish power forward? Got a body like Barkley, with the height like Muggsy? I bet I could sign with the Cavs for $60 million!

The problem is, the entire franchise is afraid if angering him. Brown and Ferry don’t have the stature to do it and they have a team full of veterans who haven’t won anything.

In the same vein, a lot of Cavs fans are scared of them firing Brown cause it might ‘piss off LeBron’ or something. Or they shouldn’t mess with the team/staff because they’ll lose and then LeBron will leave. If the Cavs are going to overhaul the team (and I think they will) now is the time to do it. LeBron just reupped his deal- he’s not going anywhere for awhile. Tinker away (meaning Hughes, Marshall, Snow and Jones are as good as gone. I don’t foresee Brown staying unless they make a run… and even then…)

LeNikeMan is a great player and can find ways to score through an offense, they just need to force him to. It’s the same argument I had with The Cavalier earlier this season. LeBigHouse needs someone to poke him in the chest and put him in his place….when he realizes there are 4 other players on the court that aren’t there just to make him look better, the better off the Cavs will be.

That being said, Coach Mike needs to go. At this point, I’m not sure there is a coach out there, that will be available, who’s ‘pimp hand’ is strong enough to pull this all together. Then again, no one had heard of PhilJax before he was hired.

Maybe it’s his European history, but Sasha Pavlovic is the only wing player who consistently moves without the basketball (well, Snow moves well too, but he can’t do anything when he gets the ball).

Whenever LeBron or Larry feed the ball to the post, they just stand there waiting for the ball to come back out (they’ll then try to go one-on-one or hoist a jumper). If they do cut, its done halfheartedly and nothing comes of it. Pavlovic gets 2 layups a game just from cutting while Z, Andy or Gooden have the ball.

When you get right down to it, an offense that involves LeBron, Pavlovic, Z, Gooden and Hughes shouldn’t have trouble putting the ball in the whole. But they do. At this point I’d really like to see a 5 of Gibson, Pavs, LBJ, Gooden/Varejao and Z just to see what happens. Give LeBron, Z and Pavlovic a shooter (that teams have to respect) and spread the floor.

Problem with that is that seemingly LeBron doesn’t move without the ball. If he doesn’t have the ball in his hands, he doesn’t do much. So the Cavs are stuck in a quagmire. Either put the ball in the hands of their most talented player, because that is when he’ll exert effort…or put the ball in the hands of another player so that the rest of the team can get involved while LeNoCurlCut stands around wondering where this thing called an ‘offense’ came from. I believe that is why when LeChuckUpThree’s isn’t playing it seems that the Cavs offense runs smoothly.

What they need to do is very similar to what PhilJax did in Chicago…Pick an offense, run it and tell LeNoDriveToTheBasket that if he wants to score, he’ll have to score within the offense, for the most part*. MJ found ways to score within the triangle*…LeLeaderOfTheFifthSeed needs to do the same with the offense he’s given. To just give him the ball and say, “GO!” won’t work consistently.
