The Warriors are getting another post

There’s a few things one must remember this morning, and the biggest one would be that the Suns were down 3-1 to the lakers last postseason, then came back to win the series.

Of course, they weren’t a bunch of headcases like the Mavs.

We feel a little bad going so deep into this knowing what we know about zack’s mental state at the moment, but this is, after all, THE STORY of the first round. (Especially when 3/4 of the Eastern bracket are sweeping, and the other 1/4 is Vince Carter bastardinzing all that is good and decent in basketball.*)

Yeah, so the GSW took it to DAL again last night, and a world where we actively root for Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson, and Don Nelson is a strange one indeed. NOt that we have anything against Don Nelson – it’s just weird.

Everyone is happy. And scheming.

“I feel good about our position, but I have a great deal of respect for the Dallas Mavericks and what they’ve done this year,” Warriors coach Don Nelson warned. “If any team can come back and win four in a row [actually three], they can do it. They’ve done it many, many times.”

Like we said, we’ve never really thought anything any which way about Coach Don, but we do love what he’s doing with this whole situation.

Before and after every game, he goes into this “aw shucks” thing where he talks about how the Warriors don’t have a shot against the almighty Mavericks. It’s all quite genius.

As for the Mavs, when are they gonna give Dirk his expected MVP Award? That’s usually like a second round thing, and we tend to think it’d be awkward to present it to him in San Antonio or Phoenix or wherever the Warriors are playing Game 1 of the next round.

Again, if this series upset comes to pass (and it hasn’t yet…see sentence 1), it means nothing but great things for this summer, unless it pushes Mark Cuban to sell. This would be a disaster. A Mark Cuban who decides he needs Kevin Garnett or Jermaine O’Neal or Jason Kapono, though?

(From the blogosphere – MavsMoneyball is in some kind of subdued wtf/shock. Golden State of Mind was there; is happy, proud, and wordy.)

*Sorry Becky – Vince Carter is this year’s Rasheed Wallace for us. We’re not letting up anytime soon.

If Vince Carter is this year’s Rasheed Wallace, then what is Rasheed Wallace? Is he this year’s Hot Rod Williams?

By the way, in case you missed it, Rasheed had a great first round against the Magic. Same with Billups…

Dunno yet – I on;y watched a piece of one DET-ORL game. Is he making any guaransheeds that don’t come true yet? Whining to the refs? Anything?

Sheed “T” Count for the playoffs – 1; Game Three, 1st quarter.

Referee watch – Steve Javie was seen by my 2 eyes asking ‘Sheed if he “wanted some more” if ‘Sheed kept talking. I find this to be a little immature, but then again, I’d T ‘Sheed up for arguing with me, and I’m a Pistons’ fan.

It wasn’t ‘Sheed’s T that got Detroit “pumped up” this time though… believe it or not it was old man Davis’ T that showed Orlando that playing physical against Detroit is a no-no.. Old Man Davis got a T for shoving little Keyon Dooling after a semi-rough foul. Keyon Dooling, ahh yes… couldn’t beat Detroit in Miami, still can’t beat ‘em in Orlando.

well i went to the movies last night so i didnt have to watch the game.. i turned my phone and computer off and picked the longest movie at the latest starting time… that was Hot Fuzz at 10:10 eastern… it was good…

and it saved me a lot of stress… my tv was probably happy as well, since i didnt spend 3 hours yelling at it… and it seems the movie was better than the game (from a mavs fans perspective)

i read your first sentence… the suns came back from down 3-1… theres only one problem there… the mavs suck and dont have enough heart…

is it too much to ask dstern to involve himself like he did in the nba finals? does he really want his regular season completely diminished?

i fully expect the mavs to win game 5 and they will prob win game 6… regardless of what happens they will lose this series… i just dont see them going away this quietly… they like to go out in a way that mavs fans hearts can never heal…

Stephen Jackson can guard Dirk Nowitzki effectively.

Poppin’ in from Brasil.

Dirk’s makin’ it real hard not to hate him. It’s like he’s playin’ like he was for Nelson, just jumpshot after jumpshot. Not watching basketball sucks. Miami Heat, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Vince Carter, FUCK YEAH! My throat hurts. Tony P is a dumbass.
