I just found out that I get to leave work 59 minutes early today, so I’m hitting you with this and probably one more post before I go celebrate the long weekend. Here are some links to check out this afternoon while you are trying to figure out who came up with the idea of Memorial Day.

Lebron James is having a rough week. First, he’s losing games…..Next, he’s losing fans in Darfur….Last, people are calling for a suspension. When was the last time a player from the NBA put his name next to a humanitarian effort? I forgot about the NBA Cares Program, my bad.

Henry over at TrueHoop has been posting these great tales (written by Gregory Dole) about Leandro Barbosa’s adventures while trying to get drafted in the 2003 NBA Draft. Looking for a sure fire way of making Scott Skiles mad? I would have done the same thing if I were Skiles. Then again, sometimes I’m a jerk. Maybe all of these options will make him happier? (that’s right, I’ll link to myself!)

Hakeem Olajuwon doesn’t look like an old retired man in the picture in this article. You can’t tell me he couldn’t play 15 good minutes a game right now. That ‘Dream Shake’ of his was unstoppable. I wonder if the Dairy Queen’s in the Houston area had a Dream Shake on their menu while he played? Seems that he’s been pulling overtime in Rockets Camp with all of their big men.
