WHO SHOT MAMBA IPHONE

Malaise-filled EXPLOSIONS

Manu Ginobli

These are my hands,
And there are my feets,
I know it’s Christmas,
But I wear el jerseys!

The Suns almost made it past the Spurs last night – you can read the recap on TrueHoop. We can’t go into it – the NBA has us pretty sick this morning, to be honest.

This comment from Windhorst’s Cavs blog amazes us:

We had to know the Cavs would throw up a stinker at some point during the playoffs.

Um…we’d argue they haven’t played a good game yet! This is a team that couldn’t beat a depleted Wizards team by more than nine, and put…”that” on display last night. Watching the Cavaliers this season continues to be torture – has been from Game 3 of the regular season.

(Also – yes we’ve read how LeBron’s girlfriend went to the hospital in the second half. She is okay, by all accounts, and none of it explains why he didn’t show up in the first half, or Larry Hughes gets so many shots, or nobody ever posts up, or why they suck so bad.)

Going back to TrueHoop, The Big Picture interviews Henry Abbot, the most trusted name in acquired-by-ESPN NBA blogging.

The lovely Miss Gossip snuck her way onto TNT’s broadcast last night.

Jeff is nothing if not fair – he takes a look at why extending Coach Doc might’ve been the right thing for the Celtics.

Sam at SLAM claims LOST was “solid” last night – we disagree. It was all set-up and completely unneccessary, unless you’re a massive Charlie fan. We agree they’re likely to blow us away in next week’s finale, and we’ll forget all about last night.

Wow, do we like anything? One must wonder…how about this, even though it’s disturbingly accurate and easy?

You cannot underestimate the ‘up-shirt’ shot on Claire last night on LOST. That made the entire episode for me.

Windhortst has lost his mind: last night wasn’t an unavoidable lapse by an otherwise solid team, it was the inevitable result of players who are comfortable coasting, who have no respect at all for their coach who, in turn, is totally unable to inspire and/or coach this team. I am loathe to even speculate on this but I have to ask whether ANY coach can get LeBron to play consistently.

Every time Larry Hughes takes a jumpshot I feel like sticking my head into a deep-fryer. Seeing Hughes elevating for a jumper is basically the worst feeling a Cavs fan can have outside of getting kicked in the nuts by Chuck Liddell (who, oddly, kinda looks like a bulky/trashy version of Jason Kidd).

Luckily the Nets are just about as bad as bad can be when it comes to closing out a game. Put the ball in Wince Quitter’s hands? Score 6 points in a 4th quarter? WOW. They wouldn’t be allowed to have any coffee if they were trying to sell property at Glen Ross Farms, that’s for damn sure.

I am pretty well convinced I could beat Hughes in a strictly jump-shooting contest (I am not kidding)

That pipl link is cool… Until you find our own name with a link to “DEATH RECORDS”
(Ignoring yesternight’s outcome. In denial.)

Rooting for LeBron is starting to feel like rooting for Vince Carter, and I don’t know if I can do that and live with myself.

C’mon Cav. LeBron tried to take it to the rim all night. What exactly did you want?

The Cavs blew hard on almost all other ways on their offense, but it wasn’t effort. It was confusion and lack of any kind of plan. Larry took more shots because LeBron got fouled and turned it over a million times trying to go 4-1 to the rim.

Put someone somewhere to take an uncontested jumper. There’s 3 guys (at least) on Lebron! Sasha, Gibson, even Marshall for f’s sake. Hit a f’ing shot. Dammit.

These are the New Jersey Nets we’re talking about!

Also, I was getting violently upset with Reggie Miller last night. Jason Kidd has been to the mountaintop and back?? NO HE HASN’T! He may have been to base camp, but to get to the mountaintop, don’t you have to, ya know, WIN THE TITLE???

If your superstar can’t put up at least 25 shots in a possible series clinching game, the problem is the superstar, not the coach/team/weather.

In a strange way, malaise-filled explosions is a really good way to sum up LeBron’s season

…the Cavs are giving me anger issues here this morning. Why do I care so much? I blame Marty Schottenheimer.

13 Paul Teeple May 17, 2007 at 10:51 am

PS- Cav: we need to get you back on my show again soon like this time last year.

Sure – shoot me an email -

The Cavs problems can be solved by just playing their Miricle in Richfield era team song “Come on Cavs”. Thanks to Joe Tait and Peter J. Franklin, I became a fan of the NBA. Living in Jersey and listening to the last ABA championship series, I became a fan of the Nets. Both teams seem to be tired. Whichever coach rotates tired players out and bring in energenic in will win the game. Come on Cavs and Nets, when the pressures on and the game is almost thru…. The Western Conference is laughing at you.

i think the reason the cavs havnt played a good game yet in the playoffs has something to do with them not being very good…

^^ya think? You are a genius my friend, a true honest to God genius.

“f manu f spurs fans… but beat the suns”

Why would you wanna “f” Manu and “f” us Spurs fans? What did we ever do to you and your kind to warrant your sexual deviance? Did the Mavs roster get back from Cancun yet?
