Shaq is on TNT

by The Cavalier on May 14, 2007 · 4 comments

Obviously we’re ready and willing to take in a twin bill of Game 4s on TNT this evening (CLE-NJN, followed by SAS-PHX).

An added bonus to these exciting pivotal matches will be the inclusion of one Shaquille O’Neal joining the regular crew in the TNT studios. He’s there for like the entire evening, which is like a long time and stuff.

We expect lots of guffawing and laughing, and of course plenty of getting on Charles about not winning a title during his career. In addition, the big hope is one of the Barkley/Smith/Johnson trio asks some hardcore questions of Mr. O’Neal regarding effort, fitness, and/or dedication this past season.

What don’t we expect?

Well, we doubt Shaq will answer any of those questions honestly, and we also doubt that there will be any monsters in the studio, like goblins or demons, because those aren’t real.

If you do believe in goblins or demons, you’re not allowed to read this site anymore. Finally, if you’re wondering what the point of this was, we are, too – don’t worry. We figured there was some mileage in “Shaq is on TNT”, but alas, there is not.

This will not stop us from watching.

(BTW – what’s up with Chris Webber’s non-minutes for the DET Lasers??? Boney?)

McDyess and Maxiell bring more of this “energy” that everyone talks about in the playoff (you know, the stuff Riley shows on the truthbox), to the floor than slow foot Webber does.

I’m not surprised he’d been held scoreless in the 2 games at CHI. Hopefully he can gear up for Tuesday night, at home.

We’re deep into the playoffs and we haven’t seen a Ranger Corps or a Truthbox PS yet?

come on Cav… you’re killing us.

When all is said and done, you’ll be Ranger Corps’d out…maybe one might be due, though. It was really always Pat Riley’s thing, though.

You can post like a Flip Saunder’s Ranger Cor… oh yeah, Flip Saunders is the weakest of all the coaches in the playoffs now (you know, with the dismissal of Brian Hill in the 1st round). I enjoyed Round 1 where the Pistons swept the Magic people, but it was more like a Battle Royale between mediocre coaches that coach their teams up just enough to get attention on ESPN until they fade into bolivian
