you can say it should have never come down to that...but it did. These are the finals. We are not gonna blow out the opponent. They will come back. I hate when people say that

I'd say they're screwed at this point - the fear of a 3rd quarter collapse will kill them from here on no matter what lead they have. In fact, I'd rather they have a 2 point lead than a 10 point lead.

And beyond the foul by Hamilton, LeBron's shot at the end was horrible. Try a ball fake. Or a little hook. Anything. He just threw it up.

As good as he is, he really needs to work on his game.

Did LeBron get fouled on that last play? Ya, but as Boney said, it should have never come down to that.

1) the Cavs got that 12 point halftime lead by having shooters on the floor.

2) the offense was failing after halftime and Brown didn't make a sub for over 6 minutes and that sub was Anderson Varejao.

3) Larry Hughes played 38 minutes, which is about 38 more than he deserves (how he managed to stay on the floor after his two TOs in the 4th is beyond me)

4) the last play was awful. No pick. No movement. And for some reason Donyell Marsall was out there.

5) the Cavs are down a single point and their power forward is camped outside the 3pt line AND HE DIDN'T CRASH THE BOARDS WHEN LEBRON MISSED. I'm OK with having a shooter out there (*cough* Daniel Gibson) but when you need one basket, you don't have your PF 25 feet away from the hoop

6) Daniel Gibson needs to play more basketball for the Cavs.

7) First half: LeBron made his move quickly and attacked before the Pistons could set their D. Second half: LeBron held the ball and allowed the Pistons to set their D.

guys, "Coach" Mike set LeBron up for failure on that last "play" of the game. 24.3 seconds on the shot clock and it's a straight up isolation call? No motion at all until LeBron put up his 1st attempt.

Don't blame it all on that one play though, blame Coach Mike's decision to not keep the perimeter shooters on the floor early in the 4th quarter when it was clear DET was having a hard time guarding them. When I saw Z back on the floor, I breathed a sigh of relief because Gibson, Jones, and Donyell were giving Detroit fits on the defensive end. I've never seen that defense spread so thin...

LeBron lead a bit with the off arm, but he always does. Clearly there was contact by Rip on that final drive, and I would've given credit where it was due if they would have called the foul.

I have never used the refs as an excuse, or talked about bad officiating as anything other than human error, but tonight's game was the worst officiating I have ever seen. And it was not only shooting fouls.

I counted at least five fouls or calls that were blatantly wrong, and that went against the Cavs. I even counted a few that went against the Pistons which were blatantly wrong. But they did not cancel out; the calls were much more detrimental to the Cavs.

On one call they said that LeBron stepped out of bounds, but he clearly did not. The official who made the call was literally no more than a foot from LeBron, so what could he possibly have been looking at?

And that McDyess "block" of LeBron late in the 4th? He got no ball whatsoever--it was all arm!

Unbelievable, as Mike Brown said. Did it cost them the game? No. Their passive play in the third quarter cost them the game. But the officiating was atrocious tonight, and it really hurt the Cavs' confidence.

I had to post this somewhere and get it off my chest. I have never been this angry about officiating. Thanks, and goodnight.

I'm done with the NBA. I hate blaming refs for shit, but seriously, this was the worst called game I have ever seen. Be fair, and for fucks sakes, when LeBron gets raped by RIP, it isn't good position. It's a foul

LeBron got whored on that last play, but the game was called pretty loose all game. You're not going to get that call on the road. Plus, you're up 12, and held to 26 points in a half, it should have never come down to that final shot.
