Here is a little something for your afternoon/lunch reading pleasure while your significant other (that’s for you Boney) tries to figure out why you are going to watch the Mavs/Warriors game tonight instead of taking him/her out to eat. That picture to the left, compliments of Capt. Morgan, is a precursor of things to come this afternoon.
Luol Deng may have played an important role in the Bulls sweeping the Heat, but he seems to be playing an even more important role in society.

Here is your rundown of the NBA Refs vs. African American players. My thoughts, since you asked……there are still white guys in the league to compare the African American players to? Seriously though, I’m with the NBA on this one. I watched Kirk Hinrich play all season and I believe he averaged the 3rd most fouls per game in the league. On top of that, the report didn’t use the same referee specific statistics that the NBA has and the article/journal wasn’t peer reviewed, which is a no-no when it’s something of this magnitude. John Hollinger from ESPN.com has a pretty good blog entry about it if you have Insider.

What I want to know is if “white” in the research paper meant “Euro” as well. What about Jason Kidd, Mike Bibby, etc. guys who appear to be half white and half black (sorry, not sure on either one)? And what about Jason Williams? Was he in his own “White Chocolate” category?
I’m currently working through some channels to get a copy of that paper. I’ll let you know if it has any substantial definitions as to what constitutes one race and not the other. You can do almost anything with numbers these days. Like this….3+1 = 4

You should have put Ben Gordon’s face on Rocky because then at least it would have been accurate in at least showing the size advantage C. Bill’s got on him. I hope it’s a good series, for your sake. I enjoy your writing, and wouldn’t mind if it stays happy and “cheery” until at least Game 5.
Hopefully you got a couple of new outfits, and some new shoes… the school year is about to start!

I am a Pistons’ fan, always will be (Go TIGERS!). I, uhhh, have hard time communicating with homers of any team, even my favorite teams (I’ll leave the reasoning at that, unless you want to email me and we can discuss it in private big boy
). That’s not saying the Pistons’ board guys are homers, just some of the people that comment at some of them don’t understand basketball like others…
I’m not on some Bulls message boars, it was only 1. I volunteered to leave the board, so I won’t be there anymore.

I don’t go on message boards and act like an idiot. I go on the BLOGABULL.com and YAYSPORTS.com/NBA site because the general group of idiots that tag a long with the head idiots of both pages tend to know more about basketball than the commenters on the PISTONS sites except for a few.

I can’t post on my teams site because then I’d be considered a homer, and I have a thing against homers. I don’t by any means bash other teams (unless it’s the CAVS or the INDIANS, or the BROWNS), and if I do, it’s only here.
