We have no idea how we missed this – it probably has something to do with a combination of “not reading any NBA news” and “neglecting the readership AGAIN” – but Juwan Howard was traded to the Timberwolves for Mike James, who went to the Rockets.
Surely this is why Kevin Garnett has, as of this evening, said “don’t bother with that Celtics trade you’re working on“*. The addition of Juwan makes Minnesota the big player in the race for the 11 seed in the West next season.
Really, there’s no more analysis than that, unless you think Houston’s Rafer Alston and Mike James are two different people – we’re not convinced yet.
The bigger issue on the table is the complete loss of our Photoshop skills. They’re gone. Witness the above – we gave up halfway through. It was a hack-job. A bad one.
Will the site still have any readers left when WSM? comes out? Is our rampant poor writing and intermittent posting being done on purpose, just so we can look at you upon release of film and say, “we abused you and you still came back. And you’re thanking us!”
Or has this 06-07 season so sullied us on the NBA that we can’t work up any enthusiasm whatsoever? Would we think taking a 2-month vacation from the site help, if we hadn’t essentially been on vacation from the site for the past year?
Are we having an existential crisis? Are we driven mad by the yet-unfinished dead snake movie? Would we end the site lasterday if it weren’t for the dead snake movie?
Have we confused you enough? Is our computer truly on its last legs anyway?
Or is this all just a look into the working mind of Timberwolves GM Kevin McHale? Can Juwan Howard solve any of this?
* We love the rumored Garnett desires – “warm climate and a contender”. Way to give MIN some room to negotiate, Kev.
