(Childhood obesity is a major problem in our country and should not be taken lightly, no pun intended. Get out of the house kids.)
For those of you who missed the commercial portion(s) of the game last night, and in an effort to lighten the mood; I bring you this:
Shaq and his hand-picked “dream team” of experts embark on a crusade to help transform six obese middle school youngsters from Florida into healthy, fit kids - and along the way, demonstrate how other communities nationwide can help fight childhood obesity.
Yes, you read that correctly. Shaq. The guy who has an offseason conditioning effort of eating a water buffalo every day and running down meth dealers. I don’t have a problem with celebs/sports stars helping out and Shaq has a great personality, but is this really something he’s an expert on? How long until one of the kids is running on a treadmill and looks at Shaq and says, “Yo fatty, you should hop on here!”

Shaq looks pudgy, but doesn’t he have a ridiculously low body fat percentage?
From 2005…
At 7-foot-1 and 325 pounds, Miami Heat star Shaquille O’Neal had the NBA’s highest BMI, 31.6, in the AP analysis.
Takes one to know one!
Wait- sorry- that was a cheap shot on both Shaq and fat kids. Actually, this is a nice thing. Shaq could sit around in his Superman pool all day with his collection of gold inlayed ivory backscratchers, but he chooses to help fat kids and pretend to be a police officer. Maybe he really is Superman.
I hope one of those kids takes the first half of the show off and just coasts until the end then actually tries. Then I hope Shaq says they have to try from the get-go. I hope I am not the only one who would find that hilarious.
I, too, would find that hilarious
you guys are rough… dont discourage the fat kids, help them. i think its a great thing!!! good job shaq
