who cares about USA Basketball? they’re not going to win the gold, so who cares who you put out there?

If it really matters, they should force the winner of the NBA Finals to play in the olympics every year to back up the adjective “world champions” that goes ahead of the team name for the whole next season.

Well, LBJ’s been putting up numbers that only Oscar Robertson put up in the playoffs. Everybody knows that guy was a total shit bag. He lacked ambition! That’s the stat nobody ever mentions about Oscar Robertson, the Ambition Quotient. He ranks only slightly above Darius Miles in AQ.

Say whatever you want Brain, but Wade wasn’t the one that was almost cut from team USA last summer. As TrueHoop referenced the SI article today about how LeBron only made the team because he was a big name, and definitely not because of his talent or his complete lack of ambition.

Was anyone else watching in the LA area? I was watching on DirecTV. As ESPN was broadcasting the first 5 minutes the picture was perfect. When I had to switch over to ABC/7 nearly every player had a shadow figure, then in the second half little purple dots kept showing up on the screen. It was a nightmare (upon a nightmare).

P.S.
I’m begining to think that what I’m wearing has no affect on the game.

SP, I’m just another one of the knowledgeable NBA fans that’s already sick of the gigantic yank fest surrounding a player that doesn’t deserve the spectacle he’s getting. Flash didn’t get this kind of treatment last year and he was a better player and teammate than the Duchess of Cuyahoga.
