Dear lord.
Computer – fried. Eardums -fried. NBA season – over. New hat – purchased. Readership – likely gone.
The NBA Finals have been a complete and total disaster, and those nerds at Geek Squad did nothing to alleviate it all. We’re in OH still and will be until Monday. Somehow we found out how to login to the site after hours and hours of gmail searches and password guessing.
As you can imagine, we have no Photoshop – no nothing, except 4 straight losses in the NBA Finals and the aforementioned new hat.
We did do, see, and hear some interesting things at and around the game evening the last, and we’ll do our best to write up a recap, provided the ultra friendly hotel staff stops offering us cookies or juice every 15-20 seconds.
We apologize for not being present for basically the biggest series of our NBA fandom, and yours, if you’re a CLE fan.
Also, we just now found out Tony Parker is from France – weird!
NOTE: TrueHoop’s own Henry Abbot has been given Secret #3b of WSM?. The reason for this is not secret in an of itself. It’s called street cred, friends. Street cred and verification of a “Non-crazy Cavalier”. When the time comes, many will look to Henry and say “Wait, is he serious?” and Henry will now be forced to type you in the eye and say “Yes, he is. It’s gonna be big.”

boney got all weird and bitter and next thing i know everyone was talking about the detroit tigers’ pitching staff.
i mean it got ugly. lord of the flies ugly.
and i’m not just using hyperbole. the last thing i saw was tvbrain and matt, slathered in body point and stripped to the waste, yelling something about a conch shell and chasing boney around in order to steal his glasses.

i consider my nba knowledge now over as this year i have not correctly guessed a LOT of matchups.

(i picked the west/ east conf. champions correctly every season prior to this and every nba champs prior to this. this year the only thing i could pick was my nose and GSW over MAVS.)
hopefully next year the cavs retool and fix their offense. trade Larry, at least. retire snow and wesly. get ilgauskus extradited. get gooden a barber. and get you a championship.

I am happy to report that, through a series of painful chemical excoriations, the body paint has been mostly scrubbed off with much of my skin. Boy, was that not a good idea! Sorry about the glasses, Boney- I don’t think you’ll be wanting them back. We did… things to them. Awful things. You won’t believe what I had to pull them out of this morning. Don’t let kilbane fool you- it was he who shoved them in there. Sicko. Almost lost a hand.
Good season Cavs. It would’ve been nice to win one, but that’s okay. Finals was a bonus, the true prize was to crush the Detroit Pistons, to see them driven before us, to hear the lamentation of their women and Boney. That is what’s good in life.
I’m just happy you’re alive. It’d be real tough to lose Mamba, Roundie and Cavalier all in the same year. Can’t wait to see WSM and Yay back up and running too!

haha, what a joke. the point of making the finals is to WIN. and to bank your season on beating one over-the-hill-lackluster team…(a team we already knew was going to get their ass handed to them, with their only two wins due to luck)…yea, CLE has some GREAT fans. hoo boy.

Mike brown sucks cuz he’s in love with varejao. I had to put up with a picture of tony parker holding the trophy in my inbox all day because of those two idiots. I put the blame squarely on brown and varejao. Varejao was constantly in the wrong place on the court and Mike brown is the neckless bass-turd that constantly put him there. BOOOOOOOOOBBBBBIIIIIIIEEEEESSSSSS!
The only good thing is that this mostly god-awful playoffs is over.
Also, that one chick was cute. No, not eva, the one with the boobs.
