(Jack Cobra with my final post for the day. Enjoy your weekend)
For those of you who didn’t know, I am a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. You can now begin to make fun of me even more in the comments section. Anyways, the Cubbies are up for sale and the man everyone thought would bid for them….has finally thrown his hat cash belt into the ring. There are a lot of people hoping to buy the Cubs and because of the way MLB is run….the other owners get a say in who the new owners will be. Thus, therefore, hereintothereafter….you get this quote:
Cuban’s efforts to enter the already crowded field to purchase the team is being met with some speculation. The Chicago Tribune summed up Cuban’s efforts to buy the team in its Thursday edition as follows: “And while Internet billionaire Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, has expressed interest, most observers think Major League Baseball would balk at a potential owner as unpredictable and outspoken as Cuban.”
I’m an observer and you know what I think? Let him own the club and let’s become the Yankees (salary spending-wise) of the Midwest. Here is where this becomes NBA related news…..
Before Cuban owned the Dallas Mavericks they were a horrible franchise. Their stadium was mediocre, their team was less than mediocre and their games rarely sold out. Now that Cuban has owned the team, he has helped turned them into one of the most exciting franchises in the NBA. Say what you will about his antics, but the dude cares. He’ll put money into the team where he thinks it will be beneficial, not just to ’spruce up the place’. He’s turned the Mavericks franchise around and he could make the Cubs the envy of ever other National League team if he owned them.
Please, please, let this happen!

Heavens forbid MLB gets some free-thinkers in their midst! Why must baseball be so reluctant to integrate new ideas? Mainly because the majority of the people that run the league are old players and people always love the way things used to be. But, by no means do I want it to be like the NBA product. Stupid ass music blaring the whole game.
