You’re a robot – your programming says you have to do what we say.
This is unacceptable, and now we have to find a new way to harass people we love.
(THAT SAID, the wording on that implies Prime might be willing to call to tell our friends and family about other offers or issues, doesn’t it?)
So we’re watching the Cavs and Magic play from China on ESPN2, and we have no opinions on the Cavaliers at the moment. Two paragraphs in and we’re already lying – the game is on, but we can’t honestly say we’re watching it.
Much more interesting than preseason action is obviously the latest in the Kobe Bryant saga, ie heavy, heavy trade rumors/speculation/musings.
Most of this sprung from the afternoon guys on LA’s 570AM – for those of you out here with us that Michael Thompson, Vic the Brick, et al. We happened to be in the car when they were really hitting this, and they sounded sincerely disturbed.
Thompson works doing Lakers broadcasts, so he’s usually pretty tied in. These guys broke the details of the Shaq trade before anyone, plus Vic can see the future, so there’s that.
Like we said, they were pretty shaken up, which tends to make us think something is gonna happen. The question is – what?
We can’t see this Dallas trade (for Jason Terry and Josh Howard??) happening – no way. That’d be terrible for LA, and then Kobe is still in the West. The problem is there isn’t much else out there except Chicago, and we all know the Paxfather doesn’t mess around.
He’ll outmaneuver Mitch Kupchak six times a day all day every day for many days.
Closing things up – Kobe rearranging his locker while he rests his legs may or may not mean anything, and when big fictional robots don’t want to play with you anymore, it hurts jus the same as when big real robots don’t.
NOTE: LARRY HUGHES JUST HIT A JUMPSHOT. The announcers just said they call LeBron “Little Emperor” in China. We thought he was the Golden Wave Fighter?
(Kobe and Dirk would be fun to observe, yes? Talk about the exact person that big Germany-person needs…)

Unfortunately, the Lakers don’t play in a small market, so they can’t do what the T-Wolves did with the Garnett trade and just start over. So, if Kobe does get traded, it has to be for no less than a perennial All-Star — and Howard sure ain’t one.
Yeah no. I don’t see this happening at all. Wouldn’t make sense. And…. no. That won’t happen.
Optimus Prime would be a huge addition to any team considering his heigth, even if he is a jerk. So would Kobe, but not for his heigth. Just can’t see Kobe as a Bull. Why would they do that?
