I’m not sure if this is good or bad news to the Cavs fans out there, but Larry Hughes is going to be out at least a month. I figure he’s going to go on a cruise the the Bahamas and do some deep sea fishing while he’s out. That always seems like fun.

Seeing as the Cavs roster is already without Eric Snow, Donyell Marshall and that Varajeo character, this could cause some problems. Then again, I don’t remember any of these players, besides Varajeo, doing much…so it may be a good thing. I’m pretty certain that LeNike isn’t going to like this chain of events as it will put even more pressure on him and the ‘management’ didn’t really help him out this past off-season.

Hughes has always been an injury concern since the most games he’s played in a season is 73. I believe I even heard a story about how he once had to sit out of two pee-wee basketball games after getting his first tattoo. Still, the Cavaliers signed him to a humongous contract…and now he’s hurt again. Funny how that works?

It would be awesome if I could sit here and say, “The loss of Hughes is going to force the Cavs to do…..”, or “With Hughes out…….is going to happen.” Alas, I do not know too much about this rendition of the Cavaliers since I rely on ‘The Cavalier’ to provide me with my Cavs breakdowns and he’s on the DL this season. So, I will have to leave it up to the commenters to let me know what the prognosis is.

so you’re telling me Mike Brown is forced to play Gibson, Pavlovic and both Browns (Shannon and Devin) rather Eric Snow, Larry Hughes and Damon Jones? Really? Damn….

shocker Larry Hughes is hurt… that’s like telling everyone the Cavalier makes false promises…

Again, I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing

Larry Hughes is awful offensively, but this team is below .500 because of it’s defensive woes, and Hughes is much better in that respect, especially against smaller, quicker guards, than Boobie or Damon Jones. The burden is on Lebron, because now he needs to score 50 points to outscore the opposition, where last year he could coast for 3 quarters before taking over for a 94-92 win.

Also, how does a mention of Hughes going on vacation not warrant the use of his stripper picture?

While Hughes might be a better “on the ball” defender (though I think his exploits are exaggerated) than Boobie or Jones, it’s probably a net benefit. Larry Hughes doesn’t understand the concept of a “bad shot.” That’s rough when most of your shots are bad ones.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t say what Sports boards (NeoGAF NBA reppin’) across the world already know:

No team with a prominent player nicknamed “Boobie” will ever enjoy OR DESERVE TO ENJOY any success.
