LeBron James is respectable
Published by The Cavalier November 7th, 2007 in NBA, LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers, GS Warriors, Readers, PotatoesUPDATE: Enjoy your dose of Jack Cobra - we won’t be back until Tuesday…in the meantime, make sure to check out a blog near you using our work without crediting it.
This is also your official reminder that we are the greatest NBA blogger of all time. Nothing and nobody will ever surpass us. Thank you for your time.

Well, it seems LeBron played the role of Angry LeBron and truly led the Cavaliers to a nice road win at GSW last night.
If phrases like “barking orders” and “driving and kicking” keep being tossed around, we may have to order up the League Pass thingie sooner rather than later.
Not to say we don’t enjoy not watching the Cavaliers, because not watching the NBA much has actually been a fairly refreshing thing - especially when we get emails like this one.
so you guys aren’t reporting much or talking about the cavs lately.
sad. I frequented your site much more when you had whitty things to
say about them that actually made sense.
now all you do is ramble on about mamba ? ive heard you guys mention
that shyt for a long time now and still have no idea what the stupid
snake thing is about.
“Lately”? Hasn’t it been like this for like a year now? And our views on the Cavs are pretty clear if you’ve been a regular reader since…we don’t know…Coach Mike was hired, right?
By the way, that seems to us like a completely fake email, anyway.
Like we said, that’s been the status quo for like a year, and the thing kinda reads like “I’m going to write out everything that people find annoying about the site and disguise myself by using strange/bad grammar.” Who do we pin this on? Boney is the obvious, but we’re going with HD Net’s Dan Rather.
Either way, we understand if you’re not interested in toothpaste revolutions or Facebook or how we stop talking to girls if they try to hold our hands too early, but if you’re gonna call us out on this stuff, you can’t put a space between the end of your sentence and the question mark.
This is all neither here nor there, however. The most important revelation is that in over two years and 2000 posts, we’ve never had to create a “Potatoes” category until today.
That seriously is incomprehensible to us, and as an award, we’re going to do nothing about it whatsoever.

Potatoes? It’s… it’s like you were READING MY MIND!!!!!
http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Potatochop
(sorry, totally pointless, but had to be done)
Don’t pick up that league pass just yet. As soon as Lebron came out in the 3rd quarter with like 3 minutes to go, the Warriors went on a 13-2 run. You’d think they would have this not playing bad in the 3rd quarter stuff figured out by now.
LeBron James > Kelenna Azuibuke
Also, Monta Ellis had a decent game last night… So Jack Cobra’s negative remarks about him so far have proven false.
You know, it just occurred to me, if I had taken Antoine Walker’s approach to life, no way do I get crucified, nobody wants to prop a fat dude up all day long. I used the fish and loaves trick way too early.
A couple of things here Bonester, since I’ll have to correct you once again, A) I don’t even remember what I said about Ellis but it probably wasn’t good, so B) he was 7-19 from the floor last night which isn’t even close to mediocre, C) he’s not even starting on the Warriors anymore, D) he’s shooting 36.7% from the floor from this season, D) thus far it looks like I’m actually correct…oh wait, E) he hasn’t shot over 50% in a single game this season, F) he’s shooting 27.3% from 3 point land this season, G) taking a bunch of shots and getting into double digits for points actually doesn’t make you productive, H) I’m going to pick up the new Jay-Z album today after work. I) represent, yo.
There is no me in Monta Ellis … wait a minute
“ive heard you guys mention
that shyt for a long time now and still have no idea what the stupid
snake thing is about.”
So the only difference between the writer and the rest of us is proper English.
I like potatoes.
Fried, preferably.
And in a waffle configuration, sometimes.
so basically Jack, according to your knowledge and/or according to your thought process, the whole season rests on the fact that teams have played what, 5 games? If that’s the case, then your Bulls (who you picked to win 55 games) will go winless through the next what, 78 games?
Monta Ellis won’t start until Baron Davis gets dealt in an “expiring contract” deal. Considering he’s what, 3 years from high school? He’ll still be young
He’s not great, but he’s a good option off the bench for GSW.
I’m really not happy. ALF jokes? Potato Photoshops? No mention of the return of the Knicks-Nuggs Part Deux? not even an Isiah owning George Karl joke? I’m disappointed, really. Z-Bo and E. City are looking good so far and hopefully can continue this vs. ORL tomorrow.
Oh yeah Jordi, not all writers have the benefit of a spellchecker. Bear with the Cavailer.
Boney, sometimes I really wonder about you. Let me break it down and make it real simple. A few weeks ago CNNSI came out with ‘breakout players for the 07-08 season’. Ellis was on the list. I scoffed at that and made a note of it in a post. This morning you come out with this:
“Also, Monta Ellis had a decent game last night… So Jack Cobra’s negative remarks about him so far have proven false.”
Now, we all know how you are about my predictions, and while I’ve struggled to pick games or a series, I know players….in this case I’m correct so far and I broke it down piece by piece for you. I could have drawn you a picture but the Cav is the one with the PhotoShop skills that you so desire. By breaking down the situation I’ve shown you that ‘my remarks about him so far have been TRUE’. It’s not that difficult. Whether that will continue for the rest of the season remains to be seen but for now…I’m right.
Now remember, you are the one who brought up Ellis. This isn’t me coming at you five games into the season saying that I’m right about Ellis and he’s a bust. I know exactly how long the season is and how the ebb and flow can change almost nightly. But….thus far I’m correct and I’ve proven that.
Here’s the thing. When I’m wrong….I’ll say I’m wrong. Maybe I’ll make a joke about it and I’ll let you guys give me crap about it. When you are wrong, as you are in this instance since you made the crack….five games into the season yourself, you just try to bully your way around the conversation until you are right. That’s not happening here, not with me.
This is the second time this week that you’ve questioned my evaluation on a player. You can do that all you want, I’ll continue to crank out post after post, comment after comment proving my point(s) to be correct. Games….I struggle to pick correctly. Players…I know a little better.
I see someone is using my name. Well, it’s not the first time.
BTW, that’s another reason why Facebook is good. There is only one Jesus. If you wanna be my friend just search me.
Jack, crank as much as you want to crank there bro
Cav’s photoshop skills aren’t the ones I desire SIMPLY because I asked for a copy of photoshop (which had previously been offered to me, but since the computer I was using wasn’t actually mine, I turned it down). I enjoyed using photoshop and illustrator back in the day, and perhaps I will edit a pic or 2 for my stuff when I get around to it…
I picture Cobra after typing that, out of breath and blotting his forehead with a hanky, slamming down what was left of the bottle of scotch and then going into the bathroom and screaming at his reflection in the mirror.
That was an epic melt down. All that was missing is the “I know who Boney is and I’m not letting him off the hook! I’m not going to crown him! He’s not getting off the hook!” Jack Cobra = the anti Denny Green. Awesome…
nice Jeremiah… nice.
Only El Cavalier knows Boney… ok and maybe some others do too, but they only comment when El Cavalier says something bad about the Pistons.
So where the article on LeBomb missing 8 FTs and his 3-pointer leaving his team so surprised he actually hit it they fell asleep on D? I’m not hating here but if he is supposed to be thehypermegaglobalstar the media machine makes him to be he’s got to shoot 75-80% at least. Yeesh.
I am the greatest NBA blogger of all time.
just because you put a picture of David Stern’s face on a Dr. Doom picture doesn’t mean you deserve credit!
he stole from MJD too!
