We felt something. In fact, a genuine “Yeah!!” exploded from our mouth on one of LeBron’s late jumpers.

We immediately went to the restroom, splashed some water on our face, and mumbled something like, “My god…what’s happening…am I back…did I really leave…need guidance…help…”

More later (ie “Monday”) - we have to check out for the rest of the week. Also, subs may or may not be back - depends if we have time to coordinate it. We want to do it, but we’re just strapped for time right now.

But we felt something.

LeBron James

First of all, I knew Lebron would get a near triple double. I just thought the Cavs would lose also. Great, hopefully the Celts still play like crap tomorrow against the Knicks.

I’m willing to bet Knicks will win tomorrow. C’mon, who wants to bet?

  2. 2 Ben

LeBron was ridiculous and all the starters played well (8 points from the bench and two of those were late FTs by Ira Newble).

I enjoyed the fact that the teams looked like they didn’t like each other. Players were jawing back and forth the entire game and the crowd was into it.

Tomorrow brings the Pistons. That should be fun too.

Missed your precious Cavs … was busy watching college basketball. You know, where players try.

I liken this round of “sub hinting” to a worthy motion picture sequel. What the Cav fails to mention is that after achieving stardom and notoriety due to the first “subbing”, the subs are demanding more compensation to be in the second go-round. At least I am.

I want a percentage of all WSM? lunchbox sales. And a naked picture of Bea Arthur.

  4. 4 The Frankman

Wait Ira Newble is still a Cav? Holy crap, I think last time I saw him he was giving Sweet Chin Music to Mike Dunleavy Jr.:

Naked Bea Arthur pics? Damn, Jordi…

Amazing game last night. It was good to see guys other than Lebron step up. Z was huge again and Gooden was down right unstoppable. Speaking of stepping up, how about Pavs. 16/5/4/3 iirc and a monster 3 at the end. Needless to say, I was all smiles after the game, especially with the guys jawing with the Celtics. Ive felt for awhile that this team needs a little chip on its shoulder after last years finals performance and all the pundits saying we would barely make the playoffs this year. Heres hoping Brown rewards Sasha’s good play by having him take Larrys minutes away for the long term.

    “My god…what’s happening…am I back…did I really leave…need guidance…help…”

You didn’t turn into a dinosaur did you? Because that would be awesome.

Pretty neat banners too. They’re gonna get me some big bucks in the lottery.

  8. 8 Jack Cobra

Call me crazy, but LeBron plays better when he has a bad team around him….

  9. 9 Jeremiah

Who would have guessed after being so clutch against the Bobcats that Allen would be the one to choke the free throws away to loose the game down the stretch.

  10. 10 Jordi

    Jack Cobra is crazy.

  11. 11 Jack Cobra

Thanks Jordi….if there is going to be a new sub deal going on maybe we should all go in as one to negotiate??

I bought NBA League Pass yesterday afternoon specifically so I could watch the Cavs. Then I found out the game was on NBA TV which, obviously, does not come with NBA League Pass. Why would it? So, I had to get that too (albeit much more cheaply than the League Pass) but it was worth it. The Cavs still do that consecutive possessions of maddeningly static offense thing but I was impressed by the collective effort, especially on defense. The league should investigate the force-field that teams use to prevent LeBron from getting past the three-point arc. I’ve seen it, it’s factorial.

    RIP Sean Taylor

The sub thing was kind of a waste of time since most people checked out when you did. Honestly, people come here to read YOUR content, not the opinions of the readers. That “visit my site” thing they constantly did was grating to say the least. Sorry for sounding negative I guess, long time reader and fan.

  14. 14 Fios

    Wow, thanks man

  15. 15 Jack Cobra

That “visit my site” thing they constantly did was grating to say the least.

I was probably the worst at this and I apologize. I try to make up for it now by not mentioning stuff but I probably screwed it up for everyone.

Having subs will give you guys more posts. There was some really creative/quality work coming out of the subs. I think it would be really interesting to see what would happen if given a second shot to everyone.

    a) I haven’t seen so many shameless plugs since Scot Pollard’s horrible Harry Caray/Drew Carey? imitation after the Kings finally beat the Jazz in the playoffs like a decade ago.
    b) I didn’t get a shot. :(
    c) And I meant Knicks will beat the Celtics. KNICKS HAVE WON TWO IN A ROW!! GIVE ISIAH A 3-YEAR EXTENSION!!!. AND HOT BIG-BOOTY’D INTERNS!!

  17. 17 Ben

IIRC, I also shamelessly plugged other Cleveland sports blogs (though I don’t think I plugged my site too much, but the posts were hit or miss to be sure).

So how much of a let down do the Cavs have tonight? Big? Small? Or none and they sweep the 4 games in 5 nights stretch? I’ll be interested to see how they play the Pistons without Varejao pissing off ‘Sheed (also, I’m sure it’s a complete coincidence that Varejao broke his silence right before the Celtics-Pistons back to back)

  18. 18 The other Ben

I shamelessly plug Ben’s blog everytime I post merely because its the link to my name ergo, Ive thought about starting my own blog, but it would simply be one mans broken and twisted monologue of sports commentary and daily life of self loathing. Note to all gamblers out there: The Cavs are a 9 point dog and the Buckeyes are only a 5 point dog tonight. Take the Cavs and the Tar Heels. I love the Bucks and are a proud alum, but no way do they cover 5 against the Heels (even if Lawson isnt playing)

  19. 19 Jordi

I don’t remember plugging my site that much (if I did, I apologize), but it could be worse, at least we (they) were plugging something that exists, unlike a certain movie I won’t mention.

Cobra, of course we need to negotiate as a group. We are big time now. But only I get the naked pics of Bea.

“First of all, I knew Lebron would get a near triple double”

Getting 4 rebounds constitutes a “near triple double”? Gee, plenty of players in the league are averaging a “near triple double” then…

Just two things about this game:

    (1) Must be good when all the no-calls are coming your way.
    (2) A 90% FT shooter botching 2 in a row? Enjoy it while it lasts. LeBron would have lost this for you in regulation, just like Wade did for the heat.

  21. 21 Boney

Sheed might not play that much so it’ll be probably be Maxiell showing Drew Gooden that he already has more ability than him in only his 3rd year in the league…

either that, or it’ll be whatever other weak big man get dunked on or blocked by the combo of Samb and Johnson

I thought I’d never say that I’d take a Cheikh Samb over Anderson Varejohn, but at this point I would… knee socks and all

  22. 22 TVBrain

Wait a minute Boney… you prefer Pistons players to Cavs players? SHOCKING!

  23. 23 TVBrain

They retired Mark Price’s number A LOT.

  24. 24 Detroit Chris M

Come on, we all know the deepest, bloodiest feud within Pistons & Cavs is…McDyess vs. Z. Oh wait, actually that takes second to Billups vs. sudden inexplicable loss of motor skills.

I got nervous last year when it seemed like LeBron had overcome the paradox shift of solving Tayshuan Prince (he was containing everyone from Kobe-TMac-AI for a stretch there) but now with a chance that either Maxiell, Johnson or Samb is in there, trips to the rim could be far more interesting. That young group will set a record soon, either quickest to collectively record 15 blocks or 15 fouls. Good times.

It is indeed good to see Ray Allen is breaking down all ready (fatigue = Jesus missing clutch FT).

  25. 25 Bink

I enjoy the musings of the subs, at least it’s commentary when the Cav is on sabbatical.

    Hey Jordi: http://pine-magazine.com/content.php?id=337

  26. 26 Jordi

It’s like everything I’ve ever wanted in an 80-year old woman. Guess I have to work for free now.

  27. 27 Jack Cobra

I wish I could get back the three seconds of my life that I spent looking at that link. Cav should photoshop that thing

  28. 28 The Frankman

kozlodoev, the guy has like 2/3 of a triple double every game this season, PLUS the games in the playoffs vs. Detroit. He’s the only guy who’ll score and get assts. on the team!!

And you DARE insult Dwyane “knocked down 7 times, get up 8″ Wade!! HEATHEN!!! :D :D :D
