Isiah ThomasYeah, you’re probably expecting some rehashed quote about how Zeke says the Knicks can win it all sometime, and he expects to be a part of that achievement.

No, says we - this is about Chad Ford’s ESPN chat, wherein he actually explains why Isiah says such things.

Check this out:

Chad Ford: There’s a psychological phenomenon called cognitive dissonance. Basically, it means that our minds want to align dissonant information with our own self perception. If you have a view of yourself as a basketball genius, but all of your moves have been a disaster, you find a way to justify each move in a way that allows you to maintain the self-image that you’re a basketball genius. The irony of the phenomenon is that while everyone else can see that Isiah’s been bad for the Knicks, he sees the opposite.

See, Chad knows all about this - he has it himself for, “trade maker-upper genius”.

Dear lord - a basketball post, with evidence that we actually read about basketball. This must end - as such, allow us to admit our addiction to these energy drinks.

We’ve felt like total garbage since returning from CLE/CHI, and for whatever reason stopped and snagged one of the blessed Monster toxic-looking cans. Within minutes, we felt better, and realized we built up an addiction - one we must kick, no less.

Those things aren’t cheap, nor are they particularly good for, even though they have “vitamins”.

In fact, right there on the can it says, “do not consume more than two per day”. It’s right there next to the, “you can never get too much of a good thing!”

Does this make it a problem that we “consumed” 8-10 of these daily during our drive? That’s a generous-to-the-low-side estimate, also.

ZACH RANDOLPH ZACH RANDOLPH ZACH RANDOLPH ZACH RANDOLPH!*
