Guess what?
For the first time in probably 18 years, we didn’t watch the NBA All-Star Game.
Out ambivalence toward the league is becoming quite odd - by all accounts, this is the best regular season in recent memory, LeBron James is having his best season ever, there are huge trades happening left and right, and the […]

If you think we’re not seeing this this weekend, you’re crazy. That, and yes…we’re going to watch the Cavs on Sunday. Promise.

By the way, the All-Star jerseys are awful - we don’t see this two-tone front/back thing as anything but confusing.

Here’s something about NBA All-Star Weekend that we don’t get.
Everyone complains and complains about how badly Saturday Night, especially the dunk contest, stinks.
While some people, ie “us”, recommend and develop genius ideas like All-Star 1-on-1 (which exists in certain fictional universes), others beg and plead for…H-O-R-S-E.
Well, you get your wish - the NBA is gonna […]

(Jack Cobra on Friday’s….it’s like TGIF or something)
After much contemplating it looks like Sir Reggie isn’t going to make a comeback. That’s probably for the best. The guy had a great NBA career, I can’t deny him that, and he has a cushy job. He really has no reason to come back to play for […]

(Jack Cobra again.)
For those of you that didn’t know already….I am just about the last person alive who cares about USA Basketball. Luckily for you, I get to write on this blog so you are going to have to hear about it from time to time. Don’t worry, I’ll try to make it as painless […]

If you were on the lookout for NBA stars this weekend, you could’ve done worse than LA.
Yes, the LA Stars Charity Game was going on, and a whole bunch of stars, plus Dahntay Jones came out to hoop it up. Tim Hammer of the LAist was there to witness it all, and it couldn’t […]

If you weren’t aware, the NBA All-Star Game is in New Orleans next year.
Normally that’d be all there is to say about that, except today…today is different. You see, lasterday the 2008 New Orleans All-Star Game logo was unveiled, and Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler, who grew up in the city and loves being […]

(Jack Cobra reporting for duty on Friday. I’ll be gone all day, so I’ll leave you with two posts to discuss until The Cavalier comes in.)
Everyone is going to be coming out with their ‘Winners/Losers of the Draft’ and the ‘Grading the Draft’ posts today, so I’m going to stay away from that (at least […]

(Jack Cobra is signing off after this post and going to drink heavily this weekend)
Game Two of the NBA Finals comes up on Sunday and in case The Cavalier doesn’t let you know what needs to be done…..here it is for you. Is my computer jacked up or is that practice uni pink?
First of all, […]

(The Cavalier is on an extended leave of absence. He did not write this because he is currently interviewing to become Vivian Stringer’s assistant coach)
There were two flippin’ games last night! That’s all I have to work with this morning, so bear with me. I had an interest in the Cleveland/New Jersey game because of […]
